What We Do
Our Capabilities
From one-off prototypes to sustained production contracts — Echo Machining is equipped and staffed to meet your requirements, start to finish, in-house in Skokie, Illinois.
Services
Built for real manufacturing
Production
Short & Long Production Runs
No matter your volume requirements, Echo is set up to step in and meet your production needs. From a single fill-in order to becoming your dedicated manufacturing partner for small to medium production runs — we work with your timeline, material requirements, and quality standards.
Development
Prototyping & Development
Innovation requires speed. Our team takes your idea from CAD file or sketch to a finished, inspected prototype. We work directly with engineers to iterate fast and hold the tolerances that matter most for first articles and development samples — so you can move forward with confidence.
Tooling
Fixturing & Tooling Components
We design and machine custom fixtures, jigs, and tooling components for CNC machines and automated assembly lines. If it holds a part or guides a tool, we can build it to spec — in aluminum, steel, or engineering plastics — with the precision your process requires.
Repair
Reverse Engineering & Replacement Parts
When a machine goes down and the OEM no longer stocks the part, Echo can reverse-engineer from a sample, worn component, or broken part and produce exact replacements fast. We measure, model, and machine — no blueprint required. Getting your line back up is our priority.
Specialty
Sealing & Industrial Components
Echo has deep experience machining sealing components for demanding industrial applications — including oil refinery seals, pump seals, and precision-fit components for automation systems. These parts require exacting tolerances and surface finishes. Our equipment handles them consistently, job after job.
Components We Machine
Consulting
Machining & Tooling Consulting
Not sure the most cost-effective way to machine your part? We offer manufacturing and tooling consulting — reviewing your design for manufacturability and advising on material selection, tolerances, and machining strategy before you commit. Small changes upstream can dramatically reduce cost per part.
CAD & Documentation
CAD Design & Blueprinting
Don’t have a print? We can work from a sample, sketch, or description to create a full CAD model and blueprint. This is especially valuable for legacy parts where original documentation no longer exists — a common situation in older manufacturing equipment and facilities.
How We Work
Precision at every step
CNC Milling
3-axis vertical machining on our Haas VF-2, VF-3, and Mini Mill. Capable of complex contours, pockets, and tight-tolerance flat surfaces across a wide range of materials.
CNC Turning
Precision turning on our Haas ST-10, ST-20, and DS-30Y. Shafts, flanges, seals, and complex turned components machined to print with consistent surface finishes.
Inspection & QC
Every batch inspected to print before it ships. Dimensional verification with calibrated measurement tools. Documentation available on request for quality-controlled programs.
